Carrie's work supports businesses at all stages in the innovation cycle, and her research focuses on the future of education and the future of work in a technology enabled world. Carrie gained her master’s degree from the University of Toronto and is currently studying French and Spanish. She has worked with partners in her local Canada as well as across the globe.

She is a Chartered Ergonomist, with a PhD in human factors (University of Nottingham), a MSc in Interactive Systems Design (University of Nottingham) and a BSc in Computing and Information Systems (Goldsmiths College, University of London).

Learning ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) also keeps her busy. She has served on the boards of local ikebana organizations in various roles including treasurer, vice-president administration, and publications and website editor.
