Carrie Purcell is the Founder of Insight Research Group and co-Founder of Tech Adaptika, and she invests in start-ups that align with her interests. Carrie has worked in the fields of emerging technologies, product development and

business strategy launching numerous products (print and tech) as well as multiple businesses. After working in international education for 12 years, Carrie moved into higher education administration with a focus on research. She managed digital design and teaching and learning research portfolios connecting industry partners (SMEs) with college funding and expertise for applied research in education. Carrie's work supports businesses at all stages in the innovation cycle, and her research focuses on the future of education and the future of work in a technology enabled world. Carrie gained her master’s degree from the University of Toronto and is currently studying French and Spanish. She has worked with partners in her local Canada as well as across the globe.

programs. Her expertise lies in leading large-scale change initiatives and partnership development with government, employers, industry, and community organizations. She is also a certified EQ Coach and Leadership Consultant.

Dr. Nastaran Dadashi
Senior Research Advisor

Dr. Nastaran Dadashi is an educator with over 50 peer reviewed publications. She is an applied research enthusiast hoping to understand and accommodate users to ensure the digital divide is mitigated and accessible user interfaces

are optimised for their context of use. Dr. Dadashi is a user researcher and Human Factors specialist with over 12 years of experience in Human Factors and Ergonomics with specific focus on Cognitive System Engineering, co-design and qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. She is a Chartered Ergonomist, with a PhD in human factors (University of Nottingham), a MSc in Interactive Systems Design (University of Nottingham) and a BSc in Computing and Information Systems (Goldsmiths College, University of London).

Aicha-Hanna is a specialist in International Relations, Global Affairs, Transnational Security, Cybersecurity and Cybercrime with multiple degrees from NYU and UQAM. Her previous roles

with the United Nations, Think-Do Tank, NGOs, and private sector organizations are invaluable
when applied to the varied work she does today at IRT. Aicha-Hanna has also lived in various
countries with diverse backgrounds, and she speaks Arabic, French, English, and Spanish. She is currently also learning Russian!

Elizabeth Lee
Director, Education Services and Sales

Elizabeth Lee, a graduate of Vanderbilt University, studied abroad in Spain and taught Spanish and English in Florida, California, and Arizona before

becoming an educational consultant. In this capacity she promoted language curriculum and conducted professional development sessions for National Textbook Company aka NTC Contemporary Publishing, McGraw-Hill, and Cambridge University Press. More recently, she has been a representative of English Central, a distributor of ESL and ICT computing materials and also of Tech AdaptiKa, developer of a virtual campus which serves as an online learning environment or a venue for educational and corporate events.
Learning ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) also keeps her busy. She has served on the boards of local ikebana organizations in various roles including treasurer, vice-president administration, and publications and website editor.
